    LUH (Lost Under Heaven)

Spiritual Songs for Lovers to Sing

This record is a joy to listen to. I’ve enjoyed it a surprising amount and really dig its therapeutic energy. It’s equal parts soul crushing and soaring triumphant anthem. This record is full of complexity.

    Nothing's Real

Shura has that 80s vibe down. Solid catchy vocals over lush production full of elegant silky synths. This record is guaranteed to get stuck in your head for days.

    Lady in Gold

This Swedish rock group has that soulful psychedelic vibe down to a science. Elin Larsson’s phenomenal voice brings Beth Ditto (Gossip) to mind, frequently, throughout the duration of this record. I appreciate the 70s throwback mix of ballads and rock jams that make up this sophomore release.

    Dhafer Youssef

    Diwan of Beauty and Odd

This is another great jazz release this year. Its the first record I’ve heard from Dhafer Youssef and likely the first oud prominent album, too. His mix of world music, soul, and jazz fusion is worth exploring more.
