The travel experience - the Europe stop on the way to India
On this trip to India we decided to try stopping in Europe for a few days to acclimate to the radical US-India time change. While the 8 hour time difference in Munich helped a bit it was still quite a travel day getting there. After one international travel day it’s more difficult to then go through another 20 hour travel session (10-hour flight to Delhi, 5-hour layover in the Delhi airport, 3 hour flight to Kochi). So after all of that travel we were less-than-enthused about another international flight 3 days after arriving in Munich. Point being, what we thought would help us ease into the time change had other, more challenging, ramifications. Next time we fly to India it will be as direct as possible (like our 2017 trip).
Munich
Munich appears to be a beautiful city with plenty of outdoor activities. This was unfortunate for our trip as we left Minnesota in February for somewhat warmer-but-very-similar climate of Munich. This meant being bundled up walking the streets in mostly grey and wet conditions.
We had a wonderful time exploring the city but would likely not visit again in the winter months. Munich sure would be pretty in the spring or summer months. I already miss eating pretzels every day.
Below are my favorite photo captures from our trip.
